DAVID I. FINNEGAN—(1941-2015) Stonehill College, B.A., 1964; Boston University School of Law, J.D., 1967; Harvard University, A.L.M., 1999; admitted to Massachusetts Bar, 1967; Federal District Court, District of Massachusetts, 1968; First Circuit Court of Appeals, 1968; United States Supreme Court, 1987. Mr. Finnegan was a member of the Boston School Committee from 1975 through 1978 and served as its president in 1978-1979. Mr. Finnegan has been recognized as an Outstanding Alumnus of Stonehill College in 1982 and received the Presidential Award for Excellence at Stonehill College in 1987. He is a past president of the Massachusetts Chapter of the Leukemia Society of America, Inc. Chairman of the Advisory Board of the American Automobile Association of Massachusetts, 1987-1992; Member, Board of Directors, AAA Southern New England, 1992-2008, Chairman of the Board 2008. Vice-Chairman, Board of Trustees, Stonehill College, 1990-1996, Board Member, 1997-1999; Chairman, Board of Trustees, Stonehill College, 2000-2007. Recipient of Honorary Doctorate Degree, May 2007, Stonehill College. Member, Boston, Massachusetts & American Bar Associations.

RICHARD J. UNDERWOOD—(Retired)  Boston University, B.S., 1957; and a recipient of a Distinguished Alumni Award from the Boston University School of Communications in 1983; Suffolk University, M.B.A., 1960; Suffolk University Law School, J.D., 1964; admitted to Massachusetts Bar, 1964; Federal District Court, District of Massachusetts, and First Circuit Court of Appeals, 1964; United States Supreme Court, 1980; Mr. Underwood served as Deputy Secretary of State of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts from 1964 to 1967. He was Assistant Secretary of Transportation, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, 1971-1972. He has also served as Chairman of the Boston Election Commission and was Urban Affairs Administrator at the Boston Redevelopment Authority in 1969-1971. Mr. Underwood was a member of the Governing Committee of Commonwealth Automobile Reinsurers in 1982-1984. Prior to his return to the private practice of law in 1984, Mr. Underwood was Senior Vice President, Corporate Legal Services, for the Commercial Union Insurance Companies.

JOHN G. RYAN—(Retired) Holy Cross College, A.B., 1955; Suffolk University School of Law, J.D., 1969; admitted to the Massachusetts Bar and Federal District Court, District of Massachusetts, 1969; First Circuit Court of Appeals, 1978 and Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Ryan is recognized as the principal draftsman of Massachusetts no-fault insurance law and served as Special Counsel to the Massachusetts Division of Insurance in connection with its implementation in 1970. He was Commissioner of Insurance in Massachusetts from 1971 to 1975. Mr. Ryan has also served as a Special Assistant Attorney General representing the Commissioner of Insurance in connection with a challenge to her auto rate decision in 2004 and her 2008 rate decision on rates for the Massachusetts FAIR plan. He is a member of the Reinsurance Association of America and ARIAS and has been an instructor in insurance law at Suffolk University School of Law. jgr@furtlaw.com
